I have a love for running, wine, and Cheetos. As you can tell I have a love/hate relationship with dieting. I knew the right things to eat but not how, when, or why. I started with Betsy in June with a goal for a faster full marathon this fall. However, I knew the extra 20lbs, wine, and Cheetos on my body was a hindrance. I didn’t want to go on a diet. I was ready to make a life change, one where I didn’t count my calories or macros and became confident enough in my food choices to know that this would be something I could stick with. Betsy encouraged me, guided me, and made sure I felt good on all of my runs. My full marathon was canceled, as was everything else, but I met my goal weight (plus a bit more) and managed to run longer distances, run faster speeds, and simply feel better. The best part? I was still living, going out to dinner, and enjoying a drink with friends. My love for wine and Cheetos is now my special treat, not something in my daily diet. I cannot wait to see what 2021 brings and all the goals I will accomplish. I could not have done it without Betsy’s guidance and encouragement.
