I found Betsy late on a cold Friday night in December. I had recently cut ties with my previous nutrition coach due to a plateau I couldn’t break. Overall, I was feeling discouraged, annoyed, and frustrated with my physical state — quickly adding weight back and feeling out of control. I read her reviews and testimonials and decided to reach out.
In January, I asked for her help to lose the final “10” pounds. Fast forward about six months, and I’ve lost closer to 15 pounds. I feel great, I look great, and for the first time since college, I felt confident going to the pool in June — in a two-piece!
She taught me how to fuel my body with whole foods, without counting macros, feeling starved, or feeling like I was sacrificing. I had been an avid macro counter for over four years. With a little reflection, I realized I was simply fitting anything into my daily macro count — not fueling my body correctly or efficiently for optimal calorie burn. It’s so clear to me now why I hit a plateau and couldn’t break through it.
I once heard these two phrases: You cannot out-exercise a bad diet and Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. For the first time, I truly understand these sayings. Nutrition is key — period. I’m hitting a milestone birthday in August, and I’ll be starting this new decade feeling the best I have since my early 20s. I’m down about 15 pounds from this time last year, and I have a proven roadmap to ensure my success in the future. I know how to course-correct and take back control when I have a cheat meal or day. I also have a new understanding of how food makes me feel — either I feel like garbage, or I don’t.
Betsy has taught and guided me to dial things in without feeling deprived or like I can’t have fun. The greatest feeling is knowing I’ve changed my lifestyle — and I feel better because of it.
