“I have been an active group fitness instructor for 30 years and a runner for the past 10 years. In 2018, I made the decision to change careers and began working in an office. I was now teaching classes in the morning and rushing to work with very little thought to what or when I was eating. Within a few months of this crazy schedule I found that my eating habits had taken a turn for the worse. I was not happy with my level of energy, I always felt hungry and had started gaining weight. I had also registered for a December half marathon and dreaded training with the extra weight on me. Having followed Betsy’s Nutritional Consulting on Instagram, I knew I had to reach out to her for some help. In July of 2018, I met with Betsy for the first time and started to learn how my disordered eating patterns were hurting me in so many ways. In order to be able to teach my classes, work at the office and train for an event, I needed to learn how to fuel my body properly all day long; not just one meal a day. The first month was slow but Betsy’s constant encouragement and coaching kept me believing I could do this. Once Betsy and I met and really analyzed my food diary she helped me make some important changes and I started to see immediate and steady progress. Week after week I slowly began to lose the weight, regain my old energy, train without injury and sleep much better. By the beginning of 2019 I had reached my goal! Now I am looking forward to making 2019 one of the best year’s yet and continuing to maintain the lifestyle changes Betsy made it so easy to incorporate.
