In June, I underwent surgery for thyroid cancer, and as I tried to find the right dosage of medication while fighting to regain energy, the weight gain began. At the same time, I turned 50 and was constantly traveling for work full time, which made everything feel even harder. In tears, I worked with my doctors, but they kept telling me to be patient until we could get my medication right, and my weight would level off. Being an advocate for my own health, I reached out to Betsy in September for her help. Betsy put my eating back on track, gave me daily encouragement, and the scales began to move (in the right direction). Within two months, I reached my ‘goal weight,’ and then life hit me again, this time with a breast cancer diagnosis. Betsy leaned in, listened, and encouraged me, and together we decided to continue working together. Through the chaos of work travel and treatment planning, I was able to lose a little more weight, maintain it, and have her cheering me on every step of the way.
I’m walking confidently (15 lbs. lighter) into 2026 and ready to beat cancer!
