I was a college athlete who never thought twice about what I put into my body. After two kids, a highly stressful job, I found myself at my most unhealthy weight and my most unhealthy brain space. At 5’8 people tended not to notice my gain, but I did with every pair of jeans I squirmed into, every pair of spandex, and every flowy dress I bought.

When I contacted Betsy, I didn’t think there was much for me to learn. I’m in healthcare, I know what’s good for me and what’s not. Boy was I wrong. Turns out I knew healthy habits, but I didn’t know what I needed for me. She talked to me at length about my grueling work schedule. We literally had separate plans for every possible scenario from 4-hour workdays to 20-hour workdays. I have learned that it didn’t matter how I ate, as long as I wasn’t managing my stress and sleep, I wouldn’t get the results I needed. Betsy was not only my nutrition coach through all of this, but she was my therapy, my encouragement, and my bright spot.

Betsy helped me to see how stress and lack of sleep were killing my weight loss journey. I now know how to look at food as the fuel I need to play with my kids, work my exhausting schedule, and have fun with my family and friends without worrying about how I look or feel in my clothes. I stand proud in photos, where before I hid. Most of all, I feel healthy. When people ask me about my loss, I say “it’s Betsy, she’s my food brain now.” I can look at a menu and instantly hear her voice telling me what the right choice is FOR ME!

I can’t thank Betsy enough for helping me get back to a body that I appreciate and love. She is and always will be in my head helping me make healthy choices! In my journey, my kids have seen me make healthy choices, and they have learned to make them too. For this, I will be forever grateful. Thank you Betsy for helping me get ahold of my nutrition and for teaching me things that I will use for the rest of my life.
