Like many people during this pandemic, I found myself 20+ pounds heavier and frustrated. Working from home made it easy to take for granted all the active elements that kept me at my pre-pandemic weight and as a former collegiate athlete, I begin to not recognize myself. It wasn’t until I visited the doctor last November for an arthritis flare in my knee that I had a wake-up call. The doctor told me for every pound I lose it is 3 pounds of pressure off my knee, and losing weight would possibly prevent the long-term use of steroid shots and future surgeries. I realized losing this weight wasn’t a temporary situation, I would do anything to get rid of this pain and I needed help changing my eating habits permanently.
That’s where Betsy came in. I must have followed her for months, she was highly recommended by numerous people, and I finally had the motivation to call her. Like many on this page, I was worried that I would be the exception, and not see the amazing results her other clients on this page have had. Now almost a year later, I am happy to report my fears were just that, fears.
