I started pretty young with unhealthy eating habits. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve struggled with my weight and emotional eating for 40 years. A lot of yo-yo dieting over the years left me frustrated and depressed and the weight just kept creeping up. Last January 2017, I decided to start training for a Olympic distance triathlon thinking I’d be able to get in shape and drop some pounds. Well, my fitness did improve but the scale would not budge! I knew that I was not eating properly for my training, but just didn’t have an idea where to start. I also believed that even if I didn’t eat well, working out would take care of it. I heard about Betsy through a friend and this spring decided to contact her. All I can say is WOW! My plan is very straight forward and I am able to eat a lot of food and not depriving myself. I’ve lost 14 lbs while training more than ever. I have much more energy and am recovering quicker. The day I knew this plan was working was the day I turned down chips, donuts and M & Ms at work. Usually junk food at work is my biggest weakness, but the food I brought looked and tasted so much better! The best feeling is knowing this is a lifestyle for me now and not just a fad diet.
