I remember the day we got our family pictures back. We had matching outfits and were standing in a field of sunflowers at sunset. I looked at the lady in that picture and didn’t recognize myself. It sounds so cliche, but like most moms, I’ve taken care of everyone else and neglected myself. My meals consisted of the kid’s leftovers and whatever I could shove in my mouth. My girls would joke about me hiding in the pantry eating Oreos.
After wiping away my tears, I decided to take action. An old sorority sister posted about working with Betsy, and it felt like a sign. I contacted her, drove to Knoxville, and gained control of my life.
My progress has been slow. It’s taken me an entire year to lose 20lbs, but I’m confident it’s a lifestyle I can maintain. Thank you, Betsy!
