At the start of 2022, I was in the process of an unexpected divorce. By March, I had gained over 12 pounds, which is significant when you’re only 5’0”, and I felt uncomfortable in my clothes and skin. I considered finishing the divorce process and getting my life back in order before concentrating on my health and weight. However, things were so out of control around me that I felt that my eating was one thing I could control and one avenue by which I could hopefully begin to get myself back to a healthy state.

I had worked briefly in the past with Betsy, and I didn’t hesitate to call her again. First and foremost, she was so very compassionate and kind. She encouraged me and gave me permission to focus on and prioritize my health. Then she developed an eating plan for me that was easy to follow and allowed lots of options. There were many times during our work together that I considered quitting because life felt too challenging, but Betsy’s daily encouragement and the accountability to her—and myself—kept me going.

After three months, I’ve lost every single pound I had gained and finally felt like myself again. I’ve regained my confidence and energy. I’m now feeling joyful once again and looking forward to a very bright future. Thank you, Betsy, for being my cheerleader!
